Job Title: Radiology Technician

Medical City Alliance is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team. As a Radiology Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical imaging department.

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technician conducts radiologic procedures to provide data for patient diagnosis. This includes operating x-ray equipment, performing x-ray/fluoro procedures, and explaining procedures to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and make independent decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body parts
  • Perform x-ray/fluoro procedures on patients under the supervision of a Radiologist
  • Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns
  • Administer barium salts or other chemical mixtures as needed
  • Operate stationary and portable equipment in the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and at patient bedside
  • Take pictures and develop film
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient information using computerized documentation systems
  • Utilize knowledge of age-specific patient needs in performance of duties and responsibilities
  • Orient and mentor new staff members
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
  • Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material
  • Assist with transporting patients
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
Requirements:
  • Technical or vocational training in radiologic technology
  • At least 1 year of experience in radiologic technology
  • MRT, BLS, and ARRT certifications, or registry eligibility with the ARRT
