Job Summary

Vigor is seeking a skilled Marine Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our shipyard, you will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on ships, as well as yard mechanical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on shipboard machinery, including pumps, gears, and gearboxes.
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues with mechanical systems.
  • Use hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, to perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Proven skills in mechanical maintenance and repair, including knowledge of rigging and overhead crane operation.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
