CEI Inspector

NV5 is seeking a skilled CEI Inspector to join our team in North Carolina. As a CEI Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of roadway and bridge projects.

• Perform daily observations of construction work to ensure conformance with project plans and specifications.
• Conduct field testing and document construction activities.
• Track quantities of work items performed and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare required reports and provide updates to the Senior Inspector and Project Administrator.

• High School education or equivalent and adequate experience to perform inspection duties.
• Ability to read and interpret roadway plans.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using electronic devices and software.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a drug screen.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions and safely lift and transport equipment.
• Ability to commute up to one hour from home or office daily.

• NCDOT Concrete Field Inspector Level I.
• NCDOT Asphalt Roadway Level I.
• NCDOT Conventional Density Certification.
• NCDOT Level II Erosion and Sediment Control Inspection Certification.
