Licensed Practical Nurse II

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse II to join our team at United Hospital Center. As a LPN II, you will provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, identifying and meeting the patient's needs under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Administers, maintains, and terminates IV's and IV medication as specified under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Assists the Registered Nurse in health teaching of patient, family and/or significant others.
- Provides written assessment of the patient as evidenced by appropriate documentation of nursing intervention, patient response, effectiveness, complications, and other pertinent information.
- Demonstrates competency in technical and clinical skills, completes skills checklist, and correctly performs these skills daily as requested.
- Administers medications as ordered by physician and according to accepted policy and procedure.
- Graduate of a Practical Nursing Program.
- Current LPN Licensure in the state of West Virginia.
- Current CPR certification.
- Completion of UHC's Licensed Practical Nurse II Certification Course.
- Current ACLS Certification.
- Six (6) months to One (1) year of recent experience in an Acute Care Setting.
- Experience with EPIC documentation system.
