Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in compliance investigations, reviews, and audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Facilitate patient requests related to medical record amendments, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Analyze pertinent data to identify trends and areas for improvement in compliance and patient privacy.
  • Track corporate compliance hotline reports and patient privacy events, providing regular updates to management.
  • Provide compliance and HIPAA training to staff and physicians, ensuring they are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining compliance.
  • Conduct research on compliance issues and regulations, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices.
  • Produce materials, presentations, reports, and correspondence to support compliance efforts and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities, scheduling, and participation in committee and other meetings to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Perform high-level administrative duties, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency in support of departmental objectives and work plans.
Requirements
  • High school graduate with two years of college coursework.
  • Minimum three years of experience supporting an office environment with a fast-paced atmosphere, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and independent problem-solving skills.
  • Creative writing skills and ability to produce high-quality materials and reports.
  • Statistical data collection and analysis skills.
  • Medical terminology knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and collaboration.
