Job Title: Dietary Aide

Whittier Glen Assisted Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing exceptional food service and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve meals to residents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure proper cleaning, storage, and availability of all dining services cookware, dishware, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary dining area, including food prep, dining areas, and dish room areas.
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation procedures.
Requirements:
  • One to three months related experience and/or training.
  • ServSafe certification, or equivalent, required.
  • Current and valid food handlers' card or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.
Work Environment:

As a Dietary Aide, you will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent interruptions. You will be required to stand for long periods, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch. You will also be required to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently.

Physical Demands and Sensory Requirements:
  • Must be able to move frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Requires hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, normal range vision, or the use of prosthetics that will enable the senses to function adequately.
Pay Range:

$17.00 - $17.50 hourly or DOE

Schedules Available:

Wednesday - Sunday 3PM - 7PM
