Position Overview:
The Senior Systems Test Engineer is responsible for overseeing the testing lifecycle, which encompasses the initial concept, design evaluation, root cause investigation, and implementation of corrective measures. This role demands a deep understanding of systems engineering principles and requires collaboration with design teams to enhance testing methodologies.

The engineer will leverage their expertise to develop and optimize testing protocols, ensuring that technicians and testers in operations can effectively execute them. In the event of discrepancies, this engineer will be committed to diagnosing the root causes and implementing strategies to mitigate future occurrences.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Define, trace, and uphold testing process requirements.
2. Develop and maintain testing procedures.
3. Enhance testing efficiency through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
4. Generate technical documentation to support operational needs.
5. Ensure superior technical performance in test engineering initiatives.
6. Collaborate with engineering teams to facilitate product transitions from design to production.
7. Contribute to product lifecycle management through engineering insights.
8. Manage projects related to test engineering development.
9. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance.
10. Offer technical consultation to internal teams and external partners.
11. Represent test engineering in discussions with external entities.
12. Assess the capabilities of contract manufacturers to meet product requirements.
13. Participate in design reviews for new products.
14. Support manufacturing operations to resolve production challenges.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited program (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proficiency in applied systems engineering.
- Strong background in electrical engineering, particularly in digital and RF domains.
- Experience in project management and leadership roles.
- Eligibility to obtain a DoD security clearance.
- Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Skills:
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities (verbal, written, visual).
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines.
- Proven track record of collaboration and teamwork to achieve project objectives.
- Security clearance is a plus.
