If you enjoy collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to coordinate systems, project timelines, and innovative solutions, then DPDHL has an exciting opportunity for you.

Position Overview

The Technical Implementation Specialist (TIS) II serves as the pivotal technical resource on projects, aiding Implementation Analysts in the development of technical requirements, testing, configuration, and ensuring the system's technical readiness. This role is crucial for the successful design and deployment of Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions within the organization. The TIS II focuses on converting business needs into precise WMS technical specifications and guarantees the effective implementation of WMS solutions. Close collaboration with other project resources is essential to deliver high-quality and efficient WMS implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Planning:

  • Engage in SIPOC and business requirements definition for the project.
  • Work alongside project team members to analyze business needs and translate them into comprehensive WMS technical specifications for configuration.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the WMS technical implementation and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the implementation team.

Project Delivery:

  • Act as an internal technical authority, collaborating with the product team during setup and design phases, offering configuration and design guidance to ensure project standardization.
  • Contribute to the development of system concepts, prepare and execute software demonstrations, and conduct solution design reviews for both straightforward and complex business opportunities.
  • Ensure the quality delivery of selected IT solutions to meet business requirements, including system setup, testing, training, implementation, and post-implementation support of WMS solutions at client sites.
  • Understand existing workflows and develop comprehensive documentation, actively participating in Integration Design, SIPOC, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and facilitating the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) between DPDHL and clients.
  • Support the business acceptance testing process in collaboration with customers, analysts, and project leaders for both custom and packaged application projects.
  • Assist in the development of innovative solutions and strategies.
  • Recommend configuration strategies for predefined IT solutions that fulfill or exceed the expectations of customers and business partners.
  • Apply IT methodologies to ensure consistent, standardized, and repeatable implementation processes.
  • Conduct system setup, configuration, testing, training, troubleshooting, and go-live support.
  • Facilitate training sessions for the implementation team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Documentation:

Maintain project documentation regarding technical configurations and modifications in collaboration with the implementation team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT environment is required.
  • Experience in the technical setup, configuration, and support of supply chain systems, particularly WMS and TMS applications, is essential.
  • Willingness to travel nationally up to 40%-70% to collaborate with a broader team is required.

Our organization promotes a business casual atmosphere and emphasizes teamwork, professional development, training, and continuous improvement. We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive insurance benefits, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with a 401K plan, paid vacation, and holidays.
