Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at SKIDATA. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support for our access control solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Repairs and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on parking access systems and building access systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with parking access systems, software, and hardware, working closely with our technical support team.
  • Customer Service and Support: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Technical Training and Development: Participate in ongoing technical training and development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and solutions.
  • Inventory Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate inventory levels and report any discrepancies or issues to the Service Manager.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of experience in a related field, such as technical support or maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, SQL, Windows OS 7, 10, and above, and network firewall configurations.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, work in a fast-paced environment, and travel to customer sites as needed.
