EDSI Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced GED Education Specialist to join our team. As a GED Education Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to adult learners preparing for the General Educational Development (GED) test.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional Delivery
    • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans to help students achieve their educational and career goals.
    • Assess student progress and provide individualized support to ensure students gain the necessary information to successfully obtain a GED.
  • Assessment and Record-Keeping
    • Administer assessment testing and compile participant assessment data.
    • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
  • Student Support
    • Provide one-on-one instruction, facilitate group learning/tutoring, and assist students with completing tasks.
    • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student participation and respect.
  • Program Administration
    • Enter services into the Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS) state system of record.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in education, training, human resources, liberal arts, or a related area is preferred.
  • Experience
    • Previous experience teaching young adult learners is preferred.
  • Skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Working knowledge of MS Windows, Word, and Excel.
