As a Recreation Leader, you will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and implementation of recreation and community service programs and special events. You will work closely with the community to develop and implement programs that meet their needs.\

Salary and Benefits\
Salary: $16.50 - $21.27 Hourly\
Job Type: Part-Time\
Department: Community Services\

Some of your responsibilities will include preparing facility areas for Recreation programming and facility rentals, carrying out necessary maintenance to facilities, and performing related work as assigned. You will also be responsible for monitoring and leading activities at the Community Center.\
\
Required Skills and Qualifications\
Knowledge of philosophy, principles, practices, and techniques of recreation programming\
First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) methods\
Effective customer service skills\
Ability to work independently while supervising facilities and user groups\
Interpret and follow City, departmental, and division policies, laws, and rules\
Understand and follow oral and written instructions\
Communicate effectively, orally, and in writing\
Work a varied schedule of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, at a variety of City facilities\
Analyze situations carefully and adopt effective courses of action\
Lead participants in structured activities and motivate participating in programs\
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, specifically the participants, parents, and co-workers\
