The City of Dana Point, CA is seeking a motivated individual to join our Recreation team as a Recreation Leader II. This part-time position will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and implementation of recreation and community service programs and special events.

**Job Summary**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual who can provide excellent customer service, work independently, and effectively communicate with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in community services, recreational or cultural program implementation, and possess a valid First Aid Certificate.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Knowledge of Recreational Programming: Possess knowledge of philosophy, principles, practices, and techniques of recreation programming, including areas of attention such as sports, arts & crafts, performing arts, special events, building maintenance, or facility operation.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by explaining and enforcing facility regulations, policies, and procedures to participants, answering questions in person and over the phone, and positively interacting with the general public.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with participants, parents, and coworkers.
