About the Role

Tate, Inc. is a global leader in innovative raised access flooring, structural ceilings, and modular prefabricated aisle containment systems. We are expanding our operations and seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fabrication drawings and machine programming using 3D CAD packages such as SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with Product Design Engineering, Project Management, and Manufacturing to drive product development and improvement.
  • Support product sourcing, purchasing, and selection as required by the design process.
  • Provide technical and engineering support for day-to-day processing and process improvements.
  • Design and modify equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
  • Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and system capabilities, and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
  • Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, and codes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD modeling, drawings, and machine design with experience in design analyses.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing equipment is desired.
