About the Role

The U.S. Army is seeking skilled Culinary Specialists to join its team in various locations across Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

Job Summary

Culinary Specialists are responsible for preparing and serving meals to military personnel and their families. This role requires a strong understanding of food preparation, nutrition, and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bake, fry, braise, boil, simmer, steam, and saute as prescribed by Army recipes
  • Operate, maintain, and clean field kitchen equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on garrison and field kitchen equipment
Requirements
  • Active Duty or Reserve Soldier status
  • Between the ages of 17-34
  • GED or High School Diploma
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Meet Army Height and Weight Standards
Training and Education

Culinary Specialists undergo 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 9 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instructions. This comprehensive training covers standard and dietetic menus, recipe preparation, food ordering, storage, and other essential skills.
