Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor in Chinese (Foreign Languages) to join our team at College of the Canyons. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Chinese language courses and contributing to the development of our language program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Chinese language courses to students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and achievement.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and program initiatives.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional committees to contribute to the growth and development of our language program.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Chinese or a Master's degree in Chinese or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
