Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor in Chinese (Foreign Languages) to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Chinese language courses and contributing to the development of our language program.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Chinese language courses at the college level, including introductory and advanced courses.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for Chinese language courses, including course syllabi and assessments.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the language program.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement language learning resources.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Chinese.
  • OR - Master's degree in Chinese.
  • OR - Any bachelor's degree in Chinese AND master's degree in another language or linguistics.
  • OR - Equivalency: An official transcript documenting successful completion of any Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education AND official transcripts documenting successful completion of 24 semester units in the discipline at the upper division and graduate level, a minimum of which must be 12 graduate level semester units.
Working Conditions

Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. Adjunct Salary Rate: Starting at $88.30 per hour.
