Job Summary

ASM Global, a leading provider of venue management and event services, is seeking an experienced Outside Operations Manager to join our team at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our parking facilities, ensuring seamless event execution, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients and patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Traffic Operations: Oversee all aspects of traffic operations, including event coordination, parking lot setup and teardown, traffic control, and permit management.
  • Parking Staff Management: Assist in staffing and scheduling of parking staff, including parkers, lead parkers, parking supervisors, gate attendants, and gate supervisors.
  • Training and Development: Implement and train employees on outside operations procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, emergency plans, and safety/risk management policies.
  • Contract Management: Manage the preparation and negotiation of service agreements for parking services, maintenance, and other service agreements as needed.
  • Financial Management: Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget and recommend an annual capital budget for long-range repairs and improvements to the parking lots.
  • Equipment Management: Authorize the requisition of equipment and supplies within budget guidelines and manage labor projections for gate attendants, parking staff, and outside police.
  • Quality Control: Conduct daily audits and surveillance of parking gates and maintain all equipment.
  • Client Relations: Maintain correspondence with clients, subcontractors, and vendors and work directly with event managers to ensure all requests are handled effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
  • Experience: (4) years related experience and/or training in the public assembly industry in a supervisory or management position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer Skills: Operate a personal computer using Windows, Word, Excel, email, internet, CAD/drawing, parking systems software, and sign/graphic programs.
