Position Title: Senior Mechanical Project Manager
The Senior Mechanical Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all facets of project execution, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while maintaining financial integrity and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage significant segments of large-scale projects or take full responsibility for smaller projects.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to project management personnel.
- Enhance personal skills to effectively lead project management efforts.
- Assess scope alterations and conduct quantity take-offs, pricing, and tracking of project modifications.
- Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders, including owners, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Estimating and Scheduling.
- Proven ability to establish strong partnerships with external stakeholders.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Experience in Scheduling.
- Background in Mission Critical projects.
Work Environment:
The role may require travel to various job sites and corporate offices.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support business development efforts by assisting the pursuit team in understanding project requirements.
- Lead the procurement process for key mechanical contracts.
- Oversee the estimating and bidding process for electrical scopes.
- Manage project documentation, including RFIs and shop drawings.
- Conduct safety audits and participate in safety training.
Physical Requirements:
The position involves sitting for extended periods, effective communication in an office environment, and occasional physical activities such as standing, bending, and lifting. Site visits may expose the employee to various outdoor conditions.
