We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at New Beginnings Family Academy. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to our students with diverse needs.

New Beginnings Family Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school that offers a unique and engaging learning experience for students from Pre-K to 6th grade. Our school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that students meet their IEP goals and make progress towards their academic and personal objectives.
  • Use data to inform instructional decisions and drive student growth.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in school-wide and grade-level data teams and Professional Learning Communities to share best practices and improve overall school performance.

Requirements

  • Current State of Connecticut Teacher Certification 051, 053, 065, 165, or 265.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Special Education; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with students, parents, and community members.
