We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Waste Connections in Monroe, LA.
Job Summary
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and parts replacement on hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as minor engine repair on our garbage trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Replace parts and perform minor engine repairs as needed
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient and safe operations
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in diesel/heavy truck fleet maintenance
- ASE Certification is a plus
- Class A or B CDL is a plus
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range: $20/hr - 23/hr
- Tool allowance of $150 per month towards your tool kit
