- Insurance Navigation: Navigate through complex prescription insurance billing, prior authorization requirements, and therapeutic alternatives to maximize prescription medication funding and minimize out-of-pocket patient expenses.
- Clinical Support: Review and triage clinical information gathered during calls to the prescriber, pharmacist, or patient that may affect a patient's disease state, medication regimen, or method of funding.
- Customer Service: Deliver professional and friendly communications and act as a knowledgeable resource to prescriber offices to ensure optimal patient outcome.
- Continuous Learning: Maintain knowledge of the products, services, and unique regulations affecting compounding and specialty pharmacy's unique prescription fulfillment process, and seek opportunities for continuous learning and personal growth to increase credibility with prescribers and customers.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Licensure: Active Pharmacy Technician License in the State of Louisiana.
- Criminal Background: Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List, and no pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Attention to Detail: Handling patient information with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Problem-Solving: Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational: Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours per day.
