Job Summary

The Overnight Housekeeping Supervisor is a key member of the Temple University Facilities Department, responsible for overseeing the management of housekeeping staff, equipment, and resources within assigned facilities buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign and supervise housekeeping staff in their daily work assignments
  • Oversee the general cleaning, floor maintenance, scrubbing, stripping, and waxing tasks in assigned buildings
  • Prepare and submit housekeeping-related documentation in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent
Requirements
  • A minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience and/or training in housekeeping supervision
  • Knowledge of cleaning and floor care equipment and procedures
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work outdoors during snow events
  • Ability to interact with and supervise a sizable number of employees
  • Ability to assess and resolve housekeeping-related issues while adhering to university and departmental policies and procedures
