Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team at Kindeva Drug Delivery. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for performing normal warehousing functions, including receiving, handling, storing, issuing, and delivering customer orders. You will also operate the company truck in the delivery of product to internal customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive all materials into the warehouse, checking for damages prior to receiving, and attaching identification labels to materials and marking information on boxes as required.
  • Stage requisitions, attach labels, and hang tags, and relocate material to designated staging areas.
  • Load and unload material to and from Production Centers.
  • Maintain all inventory records on manual/computer systems.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or with a forklift and/or other material handling equipment.
  • Lift heavy objects by hand, dolly, forklift, manual, and/or electric pallet jack.
  • Load materials into company vehicles and secure to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Transfer materials to/from Production and Warehouse(s) areas, as required.
  • Operate company truck to deliver and pick up product from production and/or intra-state transportation of materials and equipment.
  • Prepare material and finished product (including palletizing, wrapping, and banding) for shipment to customers via UPS, FedEx, common carrier, etc.
  • Return material to stock and make appropriate inventory entries.
  • Perform cycle counts of inventory, as required.
  • Have company vehicle serviced as needed.
  • Deliver materials to various MMT facilities with company truck or van.
  • Perform appropriate housekeeping duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or associate degree is required.
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training as a material handler preferred.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to obtain (Missouri Class E, Illinois Class C) or higher.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening and job fitness physical.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain controlled substance clearance once employed.

Technical Requirements:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one, and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to work with various computer operating systems and have accurate data entry skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Requirements:

  • The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand and walk up to 8-12 hours a shift; balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
  • The employee must wear all required safety equipment and perform assigned work in a safe manner.
  • Employees must use proper lifting techniques and be conscious of hazards around him/her.
  • Must comply with all safety labels on incoming or outgoing materials.
