Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Southtowns Care Center. As a Clinical Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical activities of our healthcare personnel, including LPNs and CNAs. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the clinical activities of LPNs and CNAs, ensuring that high-quality patient care is provided.
  • Interpret patient information and make critical decisions about necessary actions.
  • Administer medication, wound care, and other personalized interventions as needed.
  • Complete admissions assessments and reassessments on all patients.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the nursing staff, housekeeping, and security teams.
  • Work closely with medical support staff to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Maintain medical supplies and equipment.
  • Provide education and training to patients and staff members as needed.
  • Assess patient physical and psycho-social conditions on an ongoing basis.
  • Utilize manual and automated information systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Accurately record patient information in the electronic medical records system and patient medical record.
  • Demonstrate a current working knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, and medications.
  • Act as a liaison in coordinating patient care activities with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals.
  • Participate in preparation and facilitation of regulatory agency site visits.
  • Maintain adequate infection control standards.
  • Review and report all medical, accident/incident related to patient care.
  • Participate in weekly and on an as-needed basis case conferencing sessions with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ensure that personnel adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Document changes in resident conditions.
  • Participate in care planning meetings.
  • Mentor and supervise LPNs and CNAs.
Requirements
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • 3 years RN experience preferred.
  • Current BLS Certificate preferred.
