The Marketing Coordinator will assist the Senior Marketing Manager in executing all media and marketing campaigns within a busy hospitality marketing team.

This new team member will plan task distribution and completion according to established timelines, assist in creation/updating SOPS, build monthly reports, research best practices, and assist the team and Manager when needed.

The Marketing Coordinator will also serve as the office coordinator for special events, promotions, volunteer days, and team participation in special events like dragon boat races, beach clean-ups, community garden days, and other fun activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assigns, Initiates and Confirms completion of marketing campaign strategies within the determined project timelines.
  • Responsible for learning and understanding hospitality audiences and brand requirements.
  • Assists team members with all internal and external communication and digital presence, including, but not limited to, property websites, third-party channels, and social media, while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Participate in creative meetings to navigate the timeline needed to meet deadlines.
  • Acts as Office Manager for the department, maintaining meeting notes, updating SOP binders, coordinating team events, and providing status reports to the team for ongoing projects.
  • Maintains our continuous databases, including emails, monthly reports, and information collections.
  • Assists the Marketing Manager and other team members with various tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in general marketing, preferably social media, content, website, or email marketing.
  • Experience with email campaign management platforms and scheduling.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Skills in Video Editing, Social Media, and Content Creation are preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of Hospitality/Tourism Marketing is also preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

  • The employee will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull, and work a flexible schedule including long hours, holidays, and weekends.
