About the Job

As a seasoned Machining Department Lead at General Tool CO, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of your team, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate with team members to achieve quality, productivity, and efficiency goals.
  • Develop and implement effective production plans, ensuring timely completion of projects and minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to identify and address quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including inventory levels, labor hours, and equipment usage.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, and Purchasing, to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Operations Management) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in aerospace or defense machining.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic time and labor tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with production operations, machinery, and quality control procedures.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
