Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at St. Joseph's Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics, and work collaboratively with physicians and nurses to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care to patients, including administering oxygen and other therapeutic gases, performing diagnostic testing, and analyzing arterial blood gases.
  • Operate and maintain various respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen concentrators.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement respiratory care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families to explain clinical procedures and provide emotional support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Current NBRC certification (Certified or Registered) and New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ACLS/PALS certification (if required by the facility).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
