Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Data Management Analyst to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. As a key member of our Purchasing department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining high-volume data related to purchasing, acquisition of goods, commodities, equipment, contracts, and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update and maintain systems, providing guidance and direction to Procurement/Contract Officers, Data Management unit, Accounts Payable (A/P) Department, and the Hospital.
  • Confirm coding, create/maintain electronic tools, reports, and maintain departmental share drives to enable staff to communicate and enter information in required systems.
  • Manage detailed information impacting vendors, purchase orders, change notices, financial funding systems, and maintain Hospital and State computer systems.
  • Provide input, updates, and accountability for Data Support Analyst/Data Management Support (DM Team) maintenance, meeting Hospital, SUNY, and State of New York goals and standards.
  • Support assignments, provide direction for the DM Team with IT, and maintain electronic lists of Purchasing department's computers and software.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree with 6 years of business and/or functional, technical relevant or similar work experience.
  • Three (3) years of business and/or functional, technical relevant or similar work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Crystal Reports, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft SharePoint software experience.
  • Experience with Lawson.
  • Knowledge of NYS and SUNY Financial Management Systems (SFS and FMS) and NYS Procurement Law.
  • Education specific to Computer Sciences and Programming.
  • SQL for reporting a plus.
  • Related Certifications and Licenses a plus.
What We Offer
