Job Overview: As a key member of the Blue Origin Operations team, which encompasses Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security, you will play a vital role in supporting Manufacturing and Supply Chain operations across all facilities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a consistent workflow is available for our technicians at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing, Operations, and Assembly teams to manage the flow of parts to work cells.
  • Respond to requests for replacement or additional parts, and facilitate the transport of parts and completed assemblies to inventory or the next assembly stage.

This position requires strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. We seek an individual who can leverage their technical expertise and leadership skills to enhance the quality and safety of human spaceflight.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate with Production Control to manage the flow of materials to manufacturing work centers.
  • Reconcile part discrepancies and coordinate with Production Control for replacements or spare requests.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental activities with warehouse, quality inspection, purchasing, and logistics.
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts through move orders and stock transfers.
  • Continuously monitor technician parts needs and respond to requests for non-conforming parts and shop stock.
  • Understand part transportation requirements specified on work orders.
  • Monitor job flow through the production line and collaborate with Production Control to ensure timely completion.
  • Track the disposition of MRB and stranded materials, and enter transactions in the ERP system.
  • Process scrap and obsolete inventory as required.
  • Assist in cycle count reconciliations and apply knowledge of backflush and Kanban processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience in planning and scheduling activities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement concepts.

We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively, take direction, and execute tasks efficiently while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Special Notes: Relocation assistance is available. This position offers various shifts, including a C Shift (Friday to Sunday, 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM), with an 11% weekend shift pay uplift.
