Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team in Austin, TX. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for supporting the design and document production of mechanical and plumbing systems for various projects. You will also be responsible for writing and editing equipment specifications, selecting equipment, mechanical systems, and devices.

Responsibilities
  • Design and document mechanical and plumbing systems for various projects
  • Write and edit equipment specifications
  • Select equipment, mechanical systems, and devices
  • Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, preparation of record drawings, site visits, inspections, and participation in commissioning work
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Skills in HVAC design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, load software, etc.
  • Familiarity with HVAC codes, standards, and best practices
  • Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in BIM, CFD, Energy Modeling or other advanced tools and methods for HVAC design and analysis
  • Certification from ASHRAE, LEED, or other relevant organizations
  • Experience in green building or energy efficiency projects, such as LEED, ENERGY STAR, or USGBC

$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
