Overview

Novant Health is seeking a clinical support nurse to join our team in Wilmington, NC. This full-time position is responsible for providing clinical, educational, and emotional support to clinical nurses and other members of the nursing team.

Responsibilities
  • Receives and manages requests from clinical nurses and team members.
  • Utilizes technology to assess bedside care needs and share resources.
  • Rounds on newly hired staff, residents, and preceptors to offer support.
  • Escalates clinical practice concerns to appropriate leaders.
  • Conducts in-services and skills training for night and weekend staff.
  • Validates clinical competencies and advises on available classes.
  • Proficient in accessing educational resources through various platforms.
  • Identifies gaps in educational resources and communicates with leaders.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
  • Nursing professional certification in an acute nursing specialty required.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical practice experience required.
