Job Title: Medical Information Scientific Engagement Manager

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Medical Information Scientific Engagement Manager to join our team in Titusville, NJ.

About the Role:

This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of medical information and scientific engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scientific content for patients, conducting peer review of patient scientific responses, and collaborating with Med Info CSI-Digital to shape and review innovative content formats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Scientific Content Creation (25%):
    • Develop and maintain scientific content for patients for assigned therapeutic area products.
    • Conduct peer review of patient scientific responses for products within assigned therapeutic area.
    • Collaborate with Med Info CSI-Digital to shape and review innovative content formats for patient responses.
  • MIR Handling (20%):
    • Ensure high-quality personalized, cross-portfolio scientific engagement with all customers to demonstrate product and disease area expertise.
    • Provide timely, accurate, thorough, and balanced scientific responses to unsolicited requests for information from internal and external customers consistent with regulatory guidelines.
    • Document interactions in Customer Relation Management (CRM) database.
    • Conduct literature analysis to respond to unsolicited, off-label inquiries as needed or escalate the inquiry to Manager, MISE.
    • Identify, capture, and process adverse events and product quality complaints following regulatory and company policies.
  • Escalation Support for Complex Inquiries (15%):
    • Lead response creation for US escalated one-off inquiries within assigned therapeutic area.
    • Conduct peer review of US one-off response created.
  • Scientific Training (10%):
    • Participate in product and disease state-related scientific training.
    • Manage scientific training content development as needed.
  • VOC and Insights (10%):
    • Analyze customer insights and scientific information with MISE leaders and internal partners to champion unmet data gap needs and represent voice of the customer.
  • MI Booth Support (10%):
    • Lead Medical Information Booth support at medical congresses.
    • Ensure participation in booth training and completion of all Med Info booth support activities at the end of the congress.
  • After-hours Support & Projects (5%):
    • Provide after-hour Med Info support for emergency phone calls related to JJIM products.
    • Participate in departmental strategic projects and other ad-hoc activities as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
  • BS in Pharmacy or related field required.
  • Advanced Degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, etc.) preferred.
  • Drug Information or clinical residency/fellowship preferred.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of Medical Information or strong clinical practice experience required.
  • Medical writing experience and proven ability to conduct literature analysis required.
  • Experience developing responses to scientific inquiries from healthcare professionals and/or consumers required.
  • Demonstrated ability to verbally communicate scientific information to healthcare professionals.
  • Experience building on existing clinical foundation in pursuit of expertise in relevant therapeutic area.
  • Experience managing complexity and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners/teams.
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as in a group.
