We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including baked goods, entrees, and desserts.
- Portion and serve food in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including mixers, slicers, kettles, and ovens.
- Work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth food service operations.
- Follow standardized recipes and guidelines to prepare, store, and use food and food products.
- Document food safety and sanitation procedures, including HACCP steps, temperatures, and outcomes.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
- Basic math skills to accurately measure ingredients.
- Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
