We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Level IV Neonatal ICU team at the University of Washington Medical Center. As a CNS, you will play a critical role in advancing nursing practice and improving patient care through clinical support, education, research, and organizational support.
Responsibilities:- Provide leadership to nursing team members and serve as a clinical expert and resource for neonatal patient care.
- Develop and implement evidence-based protocols and policies to promote clinical standards and practice improvements.
- Contribute to advancing neonatal nursing through sharing expertise and knowledge through publications and presentations.
- Lead quality and patient safety initiatives and foster collegial relationships with members of the CNS team.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and managers to assess nursing practice and identify staff learning needs.
- Master of Nursing or higher degree.
- Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Licensed to practice in the state of WA as an RN.
- Five or more years of nursing experience, including five or more years of recent level IV NICU experience.
- Certification RNC-NIC or CCRN-Neonatal.
