About the Role:
Fusco Personnel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Boiler Lead Design Engineer to join our client's team in the Capital Region. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity with a competitive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual.
- Develop quality improvement programs and implement innovative production and manufacturing methods.
- Generate the design and layout for Plant Equipment.
- Work and communicate with fabricators and sub-suppliers to achieve optimum and most cost-effective component design.
- The above work will be accomplished in 3D, utilizing SolidWorks software.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to work effectively with co-workers, subordinates, and supervisors and customers.
- Able to participate in a team environment on assigned projects executing process engineering deliverables.
- Develop thorough knowledge of the project scope and schedule as they apply to QA/QC.
- Know ASME Code Material specification and appropriate use.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with emphasis in welding, materials, and/or mechanical or industrial disciplines.
- PhD or licensed PE is a plus.
- Five or more years of related experience, in a manufacturing or production environment, including three years of supervisory/management responsibilities.
- Proven history of progressively responsible leadership ability.
- Ability to lead in a team-based environment.
- Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently.
- Ability to engage in multiple tasks at a time without losing concentration.
- Good temperament to deal with people in all situations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, in English, to effectively communicate with clients, manufacturers, and co-workers.
- Ability to maintain focus during distractions that could arise during production.
- Must be able to follow instructions to the minutest detail to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to generate and present design equipment review presentations to both small and large groups.
- Knowledge in MS Office and other MFG software.
- Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.
- Possess excellent organizational, time management, and strong interpersonal skills.
Salary Range:
$85-125k (Based on experience)
