Job Summary

Unilux Mfg./Stants Cap. Combustion seeks a highly skilled Boiler Design Engineer - ASME QC to lead the engineering department in designing and overseeing the production of industrial and commercial Watertube and Firetube boilers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with ASME and other regulatory bodies' code requirements.
  • Interpret and comply with code requirements, heat transfer calculations, and proper material selection.
  • Manage quality-related documentation and work with Authorized Inspectors to ensure code documentation.
  • Prepare for and manage code stamp audits and customer quality control audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the QA/QC program.
  • Create BOMs, shop drawings, and manufacturing drawings with the assistance of designers.
  • Work closely with sales to select code-compliant materials, valves, fittings, and ancillary devices.
  • Maintain and update the QA/QC manual and develop quality improvement programs.
  • Generate design and layout for plant equipment and work with fabricators and sub-suppliers to achieve cost-effective component design.
  • Utilize SolidWorks software for 3D design and layout.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with emphasis in welding, materials, and/or mechanical or industrial disciplines.
  • Five or more years of related experience in manufacturing or production, including three years of supervisory/management responsibilities.
  • Proven history of progressively responsible leadership ability.
  • Ability to lead in a team-based environment and engage in multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Project management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects.
  • Ability to maintain focus during distractions and follow instructions to the minutest detail.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and other MFG software.
  • Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.
  • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills.

Salary Range: $95K - $125K annually based on technical qualifications and relevant work experience. Comprehensive Benefits Plan.
