About Genesis Healthcare Services:
Genesis Healthcare Services is in search of a Fee-For-Service Attending Physician/Medical Director for our Heritage Center. This role may include future opportunities to float to additional centers.
Role Responsibilities:
This position encompasses both clinical duties and medical leadership. The Attending Physician will collaborate closely with the Regional Medical Director to enhance the delivery of clinical services, ensuring alignment with Genesis Healthcare Services' mission to achieve superior clinical quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
The Medical Director holds dual accountability to both the Center Administrator and the Regional Medical Director, overseeing clinical care within the center. This includes:
- Ensuring compliance with the credentialing process.
- Conducting timely patient visits as per established policies.
- Adhering to guidelines related to organizational initiatives.
- Maintaining compliance with Medical Staff regulations.
- Upholding Corporate Integrity policies.
Patient Care Responsibilities:
As the Attending Physician, you will:
- Take full responsibility for the patients assigned to your service.
- Deliver high-quality care and ensure comprehensive patient assessments are documented within 72 hours of admission.
- Collaborate with the Center Medical Director to enhance care quality.
- Serve as a role model for peers and staff.
- Promote the Genesis mission within the community and professional networks.
- Establish effective relationships with local hospitals and institutions for coordinated care.
- Demonstrate compassion and ensure high-quality service for all stakeholders.
Compliance and Qualifications:
All candidates must comply with applicable legal standards and participate in required training programs. Concerns regarding compliance should be reported promptly.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree, with board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred. Geriatrics specialization and Certified Medical Director (CMD) credentials are advantageous.
