We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health. As a Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes and interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general and vascular examinations using diagnostic ultrasound equipment
- Exercise good judgment in ascertaining necessary measurements for the area being examined
- Deliver patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures
- Mentor less senior vascular technologists
- Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
- Perform vascular ultrasound procedures, including carotid duplex ultrasounds, pulse volume recordings, peripheral vascular arterial studies, and peripheral vascular venous studies
- Instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment
- Utilize and optimize use of all software applications, including PACS system and echocardiographic reporting system
- Maintain ultrasound and lab equipment and examination room in appropriate operating condition
- Perform other related technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist, supervisor, or manager
- Graduate of an approved RDMS program or current validated Registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R)
- ARRT (R), (CT) preferred
- Minimum two (2) years' experience as a cardiac sonographer; minimum one (1) year vascular experience
