Electrical Service Manager

Uihlein Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our electrical services team to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to grow revenue
  • Network with existing and potential customers to build relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Oversee assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and timely completion
  • Design and estimate electrical work for small commercial construction and remodel projects
  • Maintain an after-hours emergency service program, including on-call routing and go/no go criteria
  • Prepare and deliver service quotes, accurately assessing and calculating electrical engineering projects
  • Ensure delivery of equipment, materials, tools, and field staff are scheduled to meet project deadlines
  • Provide direction and hold field employees accountable to all company policies
  • Evaluate project costs to ensure projects remain on or under budget
  • Prepare and submit change orders in a timely fashion
  • Process and maintain proper documents needed for projects
  • Act as a liaison between architects, contractors, and owners
  • Conduct site safety and quality inspections weekly
  • Conduct customer site walk-throughs and informational meetings
  • Attend operations, safety, and project meetings
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 years of prior experience in the commercial electrical industry, with at least 2 years in a progressively increasing leadership role
  • Knowledge of current electrical codes and standards
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Demonstrated understanding of the electrical process from preconstruction through job completion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience with estimating software preferred
  • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects while meeting customer expectations and expected margin on the job
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to create and maintain rapport with customers, employees, and other stakeholders
