Ascension Providence, a leading non-profit healthcare provider in Waco, Texas, is seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonography Specialist. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

About the Job

In this role, you will perform vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions. Your expertise in sonography will be essential in evaluating patients and providing accurate results. You will work closely with physicians to ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting appropriate procedures within regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, record test results, and report findings to physicians.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
  • Maintain adequate supplies and verify equipment is in proper working condition.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation (CCI), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography (ARRT), or Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography (ARDMS).
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
