Advanced Imaging Specialist

Ascension is seeking a skilled Advanced Imaging Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our Cath Lab, this role will play a crucial role in conducting organ or body scans on patients, assisting with procedures, and providing diagnostic aid.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and positioning patients and selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Observing patients during procedures and reporting abnormal activity. Monitoring protocols and recommending updates or refinements as warranted.
- Following radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Performing all specialized imaging procedures, such as angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
- Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
Requirements include:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following required:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Vascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography, and Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography also accepted.
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
