A Day in the Life: As a Sales Representative II, Deep Brain Stimulation, you'll manage territory-based business and growth by initiating, supporting, and developing strategic implanting centers. You'll act as the primary account/implanter relationship contact for assigned territory customers, including account-level reimbursement responsibility. This role includes coordinating all support activities and developing sales partnerships with distribution alliances.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell implantable devices for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payors, and other medical staff.
  • Promote the Medtronic Value Proposition to physicians, institutions, payors, and other medical staff.
  • Partner with strategic implanting centers to develop account/implanter practices.
  • Provide product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation and analysis of sales trends.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of competitive products.
  • Effectively use a mobile phone, IPAD, and PC.
  • Manage personal expenses and budget effectively.
  • Ensure personal understanding of quality policy/system items applicable to the role.
  • Follow work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of sales experience with 3 of those 5 years in medical sales; or
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of Medtronic Neuroscience (Pain, Brain, or Spine) Clinical Specialist experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Master's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Solid knowledge of reimbursement climate.
  • Familiarity with the operating room.
  • Solid job skills in business planning/consulting and territory financial analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Required to function using healthcare universal precautions to minimize exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
  • Required to attend national meetings, district meetings, and other training as requested.
  • Sit/stand/walk 6-8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
