We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Technologist to join our team at Ascension Alexian Brothers Medical Center. As a key member of our Cardiac Catheterization Lab, you will be responsible for performing complex medical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cardiac catheterization procedures, including angioplasty and stenting, under the guidance of a cardiologist.
  • Operate medical equipment, such as fluoroscopy machines and ultrasound devices, to capture high-quality images and data.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, nurses, and radiologic technologists, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and reduce medical errors.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest medical technologies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist issued by Radiology Tech licensure issued by the Illinois Emergency Mgmt Agency required in combination with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 10-hr shifts. On Call Required but No Weekends and No holidays. The shifts are 7:00am - 5:30pm; and 8:30am - 7:00pm(on call shift). Call is fluid about 1-2 nights during the week and about every 4th weekend.
