Police Firearms Instructor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civilian Police Firearms & Training Instructor to join our team at the City of Peoria. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert instruction to Police Department employees on the safe and effective use of firearms, defensive tactics, and police driving techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for Police Department employees on firearms, defensive tactics, and police driving techniques.
• Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to ensure employees are proficient in the use of firearms and other equipment.
• Collaborate with other training staff to develop and implement training programs that meet the needs of the Police Department.
• Provide expert guidance and support to employees on the use of firearms and other equipment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a sworn police officer and currently AZPOST certified.
• Valid Arizona Class "D" Driver License, upon hire.
• AZPOST General Instructor Certificate.
• AZPOST Firearms Instructor Certificate.
