Financial Manager

Fusion Gyms is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to oversee the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with experience in managing financial records, processing transactions, and preparing financial reports.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and providing financial analysis and recommendations to management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
- Ensure all financial data is entered into accounting software promptly and correctly.
- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments.
- Payroll Processing:
- Prepare and process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Handle payroll tax reporting and ensure timely submission of payroll taxes.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budgets.
- Support the Finance Manager in the preparation of audit documentation.
- Compliance & Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Maintain organized records for easy retrieval during audits.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with the implementation of new accounting systems or processes as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Certification in bookkeeping (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, CPA) is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
