Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team at The Village Health & Rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing Life Enrichment programs, facilitating activities with other departments, and promoting positive interactions between residents, families, and community groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement Life Enrichment programs
  • Facilitate activities with other departments
  • Promote positive interactions between residents, families, and community groups
  • Encourage resident participation and assist with resident outings
  • Adapt to meet each resident's needs and preferences
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of special events
  • Support residents in transportation to appointments and outings
  • Communicate regularly with the Director of Life Enrichment
  • Document resident participation in the Resident Engagement Record
  • Maintain the appearance of activity areas, program supplies, and equipment
Requirements
  • Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, including ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset individuals
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, air contaminants, and hazardous chemicals. The physical demands of the role include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
