We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Foreman to join our team at Southland Holdings LLC. As a key member of our infrastructure construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of roadway projects, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage roadway work activities, including understanding project plans and specifications, standard grading operations, and material compaction.
- Develop and implement sequencing of work, provide input to 3-week look-ahead schedules, and communicate updates and impacts to schedule with field engineers.
- Ensure safety standards are met, and trade and subcontractor site safety is in compliance with EGC standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
- Identify problems early and act immediately to provide solutions, and oversee work to ensure installation is in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience within the heavy civil construction industry.
- Background in Earthwork, Underground, Concrete, and Asphalt paving.
- Strong leadership qualities, solid written and oral communication skills, and proficiency with industry practices, processes, and standards.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and the project schedule.
- Competitive salary: $29.00 per hour.
