Job Title: Hospice Registered Nurse

At CorsoCare, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Hospice RN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to terminally ill patients and their families in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and reassess the nursing needs of Hospice patients
  • Provide dietary counseling and Hospice nursing services, treatments, and preventive procedures
  • Initiate nursing procedures appropriate for the patient's Hospice care and safety
  • Teach, supervise, and counsel Hospice patients and family members about providing care for the patient
  • Supervise and train other nursing service personnel
  • Develop and re-evaluate the patient/family care plan in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) to meet needs and maintain continuity of care
  • Perform specific nursing procedures as needed, following doctor's orders
  • Attend team conferences and maintain records as required by Hospice
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse to practice in the state
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, preferred
  • Active patient contact within the past three years, preferred
  • Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments
  • Ability to supervise others appropriately
  • Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting
  • Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural, and religious modes
  • Must complete Hospice training program
