Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Education Advisor to join our team at Ladgov Corporation. As an Education Advisor, you will play a critical role in advising active-duty personnel on various educational programs and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and advice to Active-Duty Air Force members on CCAF degree opportunities, evaluating military training and course completions, reviewing transcripts, and applying credit obtained.
  • Pull and analyze reports from the CCAF Online website to identify potential graduates and track progress.
  • Teach service members how to use AFVEC features, including updating personal data and supervisor information.
  • Instruct service members on how to use the Civilian Course Conversion Table (CivCCT), Military Course Conversion Table (Mil CCT), and 2017 Credit by Exam Matrix by Degree Program.
  • Submit CCAF Action Requests to CCAF Program Managers and follow up with service members regarding replies and/or action taken.
  • Document all interactions with service members in AFAEMS and provide weekly statistics to the Education Services Officer (ESO).
  • Retrieve CCAF graduation confirmation emails from the organization email box.
  • Assist service members with information regarding Air Force tuition assistance, Veteran Administration education benefits, federal financial assistance programs, local scholarships, and Air Force Aid Society.
  • Ensure courses taken for CCAF using military TA are needed for CCAF degree and complete counseling notes in AFAEMS.
  • Assist incoming CCAF Instructors with requirements and enrollment into Instructor of Technology & Military Science degree.
  • Refer students to the appropriate academic institution representative for registration and enrollment in courses or programs that pertain to their education goals.
  • Conduct briefings for ADAF/ADSF and other requestors as needed.
  • Prepare necessary correspondence and forms and maintain related records and logs required to support job tasks.
  • Advise the Space Launch Delta 30 designated graduation committee on semi-annual CCAF graduation ceremonies.
  • Maintain a by-date record showing advisement or counseling sessions conducted.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Two years or more of experience in adult or military education academic advising.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Air Force terminology, office procedures, and education programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access is also preferred.
