Job Summary

As an Education Advisor with Ladgov Corporation, you will play a vital role in guiding active-duty personnel in their educational pursuits. Your expertise will help them navigate the various programs available through voluntary off-duty education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic guidance to Active-Duty Air Force members on CCAF degree opportunities, evaluating military training and course completions, reviewing transcripts, and applying credit obtained.
  • Pull reports from the CCAF Online website to track in-progress and actual graduates, and email potential graduates with advisement or counseling sessions conducted.
  • Teach service members how to use AFVEC features, including updating personal data and supervisor information, and instruct them on how to use the Civilian Course Conversion Table (CivCCT), Military Course Conversion Table (Mil CCT), and 2017 Credit by Exam Matrix by Degree Program.
  • Submit CCAF Action Requests to CCAF Program Managers and follow up with service members regarding replies and/or action taken by CCAF.
  • Document every phone call, email, and conversation with service members in AFAEMS and provide the Education Services Officer (ESO) with weekly statistics.
  • Retrieve CCAF graduation confirmation emails from the organization email box and assist ADAF with information regarding Air Force tuition assistance, Veteran Administration education benefits, federal financial assistance programs, local scholarships, and Air Force Aid Society.
  • Ensure courses taken for CCAF using military TA are needed for CCAF degree and complete counseling notes in AFAEMS.
  • Assist incoming CCAF Instructors with requirements and enrollment into Instructor of Technology & Military Science degree.
  • Refer students to the appropriate academic institution representative for registration and enrollment in courses or programs that pertain to their education goals.
  • Advise students of DANTES tests applicable to their programs of study and conduct briefings for ADAF/ADSF and other requestors as needed.
  • Prepare necessary correspondence and forms and maintain related records and logs required to support all aspects of job tasks.
  • Advise the Space Launch Delta 30 designated graduation committee on semi-annual CCAF graduation ceremonies.
  • Maintain a by-date record showing advisement or counseling sessions conducted.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Two years or more of experience in adult or military education academic advising.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Air Force terminology, office procedures, and education programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access is also preferred.
